Children day celebration at Anganwadi
The cultural club of the college organized a session with the students of an anganawadi as part of Childrenís day celebration. Students and teachers of the college interacted with the students there and organized cultural programmes to entertain the students of anganawadi.
Discussion on Demonetization
An enlightening and interactive talk on the current topic of demonetization was organized by the Finance Club of the college. The talk was presided by the Dean of the institution Dr. C. T. Paul, the Principal of the college Dr. C.K. Francis and HOD of MBA department Dr. Joji Chandran.
An intra-college management meet organized by the students of MBA department with events like Best Manager, HR Game, Marketing Game, Systems Game and Business Quiz. The event was organized for developing managerial and organizing skills of the students.
Talk on Economic reforms
A very informative and enthusiastic talk by Mr. Sukumaran, Dean, NISM, Mumbai. The students were enlightened with information about share trading and the activities of S.E.B.I. in monitoring the share market.
Session organised by EDP Club
A talk by Mr. E. Salahudeen, General Manager, District Industries Center, on the topic Entrepreneurship development as an alternative career option. The event was organized by the EDP club with a supreme motive of guiding the budding managers towards new entrepreneurial ventures.
MoU with T.I.M.E.
ELIMS signed an memorandum of understanding with T.I.M.E. with an idea of offering free training to MBA aspirants for KMAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT etc.
ELIMS EXECUTIVE EDUCATION
Focusing on the Industry-Academia interface, ELIMS organised an Executive Education Program on Selling Skills and Client development for gold jewellery executives. Several executives from various jewelleries in Thrissur attended the program.
ELIMS JOB FAIR
A mega event organized by Elijah Institute of Management Studies with a dedicated motive to provide job opportunity for various job seekers in fields of diploma, para-medical, B-Pharm, D-Pharm, graduates and post graduates - including professional degree holders like B-tech and MBA. Companies like Infosys, Aster Medicity, Axis Bank, Joy Alukkas and many more participated in the Job Fair. The event was a perfect platform for jobseekers and several participants were offered with spot job offers. The event was conducted on 28th may 2016.
OUT BOUND TRAINING FOR ELIMSIANS
As a part of interactive learning in ELIMS an outbound training was conducted for the students of ELIMS. The outbound training and activities conducted helped the students in team building, leadership development, personal effectiveness, inter-personal Communication, cross Functional Collaboration, and time Management. The event was conducted on 1st of April 2016.
ELIMS DAY 2016
The birthday of our beloved chairman Sri E. K. Kurian, who is a well known academician and a true guide for the ELIMS family, is celebrated every year as ELIMS Day by our students. Students are given opportunities to perform their talents in music and dance in this occasion.
ARTS DAY 2016
The Arts Day for this year was conducted on 22nd of March 2016. Students have an opportunity to explore different applied art forms as well as experience the lively arts. These varied experiences include exposure to dance, music, and drama. The occasion was graced by the presence of renounced music director Mohan Sithara and Lakshmi who is a well known television anchor and alumni of ELIMS.
SPORTS DAY 2016- DERBY 2K16
Talent of a management graduate is not only limited to academics. To promote the extra-curricular skills of our students and to develop team spirit and sportsmanship, under the guidance of the expert panel of faculty, Sports day was conducted on the 21st of March 2016. Various individual and group events were conducted on this occasion.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EMERGING TRENDS IN MANAGEMENT
In the current scenario of ultra speed development, trends in management are changing at a very quick pace. ELIMS organized a national seminar with participation from various squares of management on the topic of Emerging Trends in Management on 19th March 2016. The event was inaugurated by Joshi Paul Veliyath, MD KSFE and the key note address was given by Dr. CA. V. Venugopal, President Thrissur Management Association.
POST BUDGET ANALYSIS
An event to enlighten the budding entrepreneurs about the current budget and to create awareness about the methods to evaluate and analyze the various financial matters of the Government of India, Post Budget Analysis was conducted on 11th March 2016. The session was conducted by Dr. V.K. Vijayakumar who is an expert in practical economics and the leading Investment Strategist in Geojith BNP Paribas.
OUT BOUND TRAINING
As a part of the corporate social responsibility of ELIMS, we had organized a student enrichment program, Marvelous 2K16 conducted by Fort Knox, which included an out bound training session for selected students from various arts colleges in Kerala.
EMINENCE 2K15- 26TH NOVEMBER 2015
Eminence, the South Indian Management Meet, has a vibrant history of conducting management meet which has attracted students from all management institutes across South India and eminent personalities from various streams of management across the nation. Eminence 2k15 will provide a unique platform for building professionals to demonstrate their managerial skills and to motivate the student fraternity and energise young minds into innovative thinking.
FLASH MOB-21ST NOVEMBER 2015
As a part of the promotion of Eminence 2k15, flash mob was organized at four locations in Thrissur city. The venues were Railway Station, Muncipal Bus stand, City Centre and Selex Mall.
It has attracted a large crowd from various pools of the society.
EMINENCE FLAG OFF-19TH NOVEMBER 2015
As a part of EMINENCE 2K15, a flag hoisting was organized in the college campus. Chairman Sri.E.K.Kurian and Management Trustee Mr. Jinu Kurian hoisted the Eminence Flag.
Inauguration of the Eminence website and official facebook page was conducted during this occasion.
An organisation cannot build a good team of working professionals without good Human Resources. The key functions of the Human Resources Management (HRM) team include recruiting people, training them, performance appraisals, motivating employees as well as workplace communication, workplace safety, and much more.
The main aim of the activity organized by the HR Club led by Mrs Suchitha was to integrate all the students in various clubs and to bring out the talents hidden among themselves. The event was organized on 6th October 2015.
CURRENT AFFAIRS CLUB
Today, every school focuses on acquainting the students regarding the current affairs of the world. This is an effort to build a habit in the student, to stay updated and hence, to stay aware. Knowledge of current affairs works on two levels. For some it is mere knowledge of an event that occurred, while for others it is an important of their exam syllabus.
The college Current Affairs club led by Dr Andez, organized a quiz programme on 22nd September 2015 with participants from all other clubs.
A team from the Bombay Stock Exchange conducted an awareness class for students about the history of Stock exchanges and the activities that are happening currently in the Bombay Stock Exchange. The class also enlightened the students about the myths surrounding stock exchanges.
Mr.ANAND MENON from KSE- CURRENT TRENDS IN HR
Mr.Anand Menon, Chief General Manager, Kerala Solvent Extractions Pvt. Ltd. delivered an effective class about the current trends in Human Resource practices on 23rd September 2015. The class provided invaluable insights to the students who are preparing to be industry ready.
Persona enhancement of the student, so as to surpass Corporate expectations and to help them live their life to the fullest, using effective sustained and blended experimental learning methods.
A one week orientation was conducted by Vertical Eye which aims at the overall development of individual through blended and experiential learning methods ensuring that learners of all styles and capabilities and learn to their fullest potential.
Graduation is both a concept and a process. It is a concept because in real life everyday you graduate while graduation as a process goes on until the last day of your life.
The convocation for 2012-14 batch of students who are graduating this year was held on 7th September 2015.

ELIMS - TMA STUDENT CHAPTER
ELIMS - TMA (Thrissur Management Association) Student Chapter organized an interactive session on 25.10.2014 (Saturday) in ELIMS campus for the MBA students regarding Current Trends in Management. The resource person for the event was Dr. CA Shantha Kumar K, leading Chartered Accountant, Senior Partner of the Firm SKV & Associates and Senior VP of ASSOCHAM. He focused on GST (Goods and Service Tax) which is one of the biggest taxation reforms in India that is all set to integrate State economies and boost overall growth. GST will create a single, unified Indian market to make the economy stronger.
Dr. CA Shantha Kumar K in his candid style analyzed thread bear how the implementation of GST will lead to the abolition of other taxes such as octroi, Central Sales Tax, State-level sales tax, entry tax, stamp duty, telecom license fees, turnover tax, tax on consumption or sale of electricity, taxes on transportation of goods and services, etc., thus avoiding multiple layers of taxation that currently exist in India.
Inauguration of Residential Batch
The residential batch at ELIMS had been inaugurated by Sri Therambil Ramakrishnan MLA on 20th of October 2014. The student community at ELIMS planted over 40 saplings in the presence of Sri. Abdul Manaf, CEO Easysoft Technologies, Founder of 'My Tree Challenge'.

The Industry Academic Interface Programme was held on 7th of October 2014 at ELIMS. The motivational talk was delivered by Mr. D. Hariharaputhran, Marketing Director, Apollo Paints Private Ltd., Bangalore. The chief guest gave guidance to the students on how success depends on the attitude of a person.

Asst.Prof.Reghu Pradeep Nair and Asst. Prof.Anila.N.S made individual Paper Presentation at Nehru College of Management, Tiruvillamala ,Ottapalam on the topic 'Technology Management' on 22/8/2014 and 23/8/2014.
ELIMS celebrated Onam on 5/9/2014. This day was also Teachers Day. The staff and students of the college celebrated both the events in a grand way and traditional Onam Sadhya, pookalam competition and culturals added to the festivities.

Elijah Institute of Management Studies organized "Anti-Ragging Campain" on 19/08/2014 in association with District Legal Services Authorities. DLSA Secretary Sri. Prakash R.T (SubJudge), Thrissur Judicial First Class Magistrate No.II Sri.T.P Anil and Thrissur City ACP Sri. Celebration of "ELIMS DAY 2014"
"ELIMS DAY" was celebrated on 27/03/2014 in the campus. It coincided with the birthday of our beloved Chairman Sri.E.K.Kurian. The celebrations were marked by the Hon'ble Chairman giving Cash awards to the best Students for their outstanding academic performance. This was followed by cultural events and a 'Sadya'.
Elijah Institute of Management Studies is fortunate to inaugurate the Students Chapter of TMA on 22nd March 2014.This is the third chapter of TMA - Er M.R.Gopalakrishnan, the President of TMA inaugurated it. Dr.V.M.Xaviar, the Secretary of TMA and Mr.P.M.Jose, the Convener of TMA Students Chapter spoke on this occasion. About 50 students of ELIMS got enrolled.
